Description

In the midst of a nature reserve in the beautiful Waterberg plateau, on an elevated level with breathtaking views of the vastness of nature, this lodge has been created to make you a part of the experience. The nature reserve spans 37 000 hectares, with over 50 different mammal species, including the Big 5. The reserve also has kudu, giraffe, zebra, warthog, cheetah, brown hyena, honey badger, close to 300 bird species and much more.

Outdoor showers, glass walls facing unobstructed grass plains and open decks and walkways let the visitor experience wildlife comfortably first hand during the sought after stay. There have never been hunted in the reserve and the number of vehicles are restricted, allowing for particular close and personal encounters.

Green energy supply, artistic finishes, solar water supply and a large vegetable garden are provided for with the new additions and developments made to the lodge, since 2018. The total amount of square meters under roof is 2800 on the 500ha portion. The nearest towns are Vaalwater and Lephalale in Limpopo and the nearest city, Pretoria. The reserve is an easy 2,5 hour drive or 45 minute flight from Johannesburg and entirely malaria free, making it one of the most accessible premier wilderness reserves in South Africa.
